Thanks a million all. Still struggling with this crossword but getting there.
Quite a few people have commented that it is somewhat obscure/obtuse this week - keep going!

it's a mix of general knowledge and cryptic, it's never like this Jo, the 8 across davemano is Ball, the 7d is line
