If the old bill had followed up the alarms going off then they would not have had to spend a whole load of time trying to find them..... and of course those arrested are not yet proven guilty .......
Question Author
True!
Twelve addresses in the London and Kent area were raided by police on Tuesday morning...
Seven men were arrested - aged between 48 and 75 - and a number of high-value items were recovered, police said.
And I hope all the seven are the guilty ones. Good show.
48-75! Seems working on past retirement is even a necessity in the world of crime!
Have they got the haul and who could know what it was if they have?
In response to questions about why police did not respond to an alarm which went off at the premises, Det Supt Turner, said: "We are now in a position to confirm that on this occasion our call handling system and procedures for working with the alarm monitoring companies were not followed.
"Our normal procedures would have resulted in police attending the scene and we apologise that this did not happen."

So that's all right then, is it?
3 pensioners!

The seven suspects are aged 67, 74, 58, 48, 59, 76 and 50.
Old Bill catch old robbers!
Yes, well done, but where is the loot !
Scotland Yard first arrested seven men, aged between 48 and 76. They later arrested a 58-year-old man and a 43-year-old, bringing the total number of men arrested to nine.
They sound likevthe fences rather than the robbers to me.

There must be an wful lot if Tom to get shot of.
I kinda wanted 'em to get away with it :-(
But will owners dare claim their (tax dodge) losses?

///Yes, well done, but where is the loot ! ///

If you listened to the News you would know they have recovered quite a lot of it!

///Officers recovered a "significant amount of high-value property" which they believe was stolen during the raid on the safe deposit company over the Easter bank holiday.///

Eight men charged over Hatton Garden raid:

Awwww :-(
Pensioner criminals are better off in prison, with warm dry beds, regular 'choice' hot meals
& constant monitering.....than they would suffer in costly care homes of neglect & boredom.

Hmmm...another bank holiday this w/e ;)
