If it's got Cleggy's fingerprints all over it then it was bound to be a white elephant. Why not use it for school dinners?
AOG has a point - there must be service personnel who are under pressure and with no obvious home to go to. It makes sense to me to house them temporarily in any available accommodation and this sounds fairly decent.
Service personnel earn good money! Now that they're back from their world adventures, why should my taxes support their lifestyle?
Because some of us,who are not fit to walk in their shadow,owe them a debt of gratitude. Getting arms and legs blown off and suffering PTSD is not compensated by the pittance they receive compared to a traffic warden for instance.I would love my tax go to a worthy cause and not fund criminals who enter this country illegally.
