Title Builder Beta

Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Many times I have entered an answer to a post which is not showing any answers only to find that when I submit my answer there are already one or more answers previously submitted. How can I avoid this?

You can't. You just have to be quick to answer. It happens to me all the time.

i don't think you can avoid it if half a dozen peeps are typing the answer at the same time :-)

It also depends on the speed of your broadband.

It happens all the time to everybody. He/she with the fastest fingers will get there first. Get those typing fingers all greased up, farr xx

i wouldn't worry, I often see duplicate answers in crosswords hours after people have already given the correct answer. I find that funny

^ Am I wrong in thinking that broadband speed is also a factor?

a good b/band speed certainly helps. My old laptop would take about a fortnight to answer !!

You are absolutely right elliemay, broadband speed is a major factor

It may also be worth refreshing before you start typing, as maybe your laptop/browser only updates every 30 seconds or so
