14a...Instrument left silent after front falls off....LUTE ?

I can see FLUTE, with the L missing but not the silent bit.

Also, 5d...A long letter...AITCH ?

Thanks...I think it is LUTE but I still can't see the silent bit.

The letters that I do have for 5d are A?T?H, and I can't make anything other then AITCH.
