Happy New Year to you all ,and happy puzzling in 2014 to all the Q&P 'ers.
Happy New Year to everyone who has posted above, especially Shaneystar2 as, at this special time of the year, we're allowed to talk to people across 'the great divide' (otherwise known as the Norfolk/Suffolk border!).

Greetings from one end of the A140 (where JoolsTwo and I live less than a mile apart) to the other end (where, we're told here, strange and demonic practices often take place).
;-)
Lol...the only demonic practices here tonight involved eating ,drinking and losing money (me ) at cards.Happy New Year from Norfolk Chris .
I hope that whoever you lost money to, Shaney, was a 'gud ole Saarfuk bor' ;-)

Happy New Year, once again. I hope to see you here more often in 2014!
Happy New Year to all ♥
The only person from Suffolk allowed in this house in my brother who emigrated there :) I always check when he visits to make sure he hasn't fallen into silly Suffolk ways ...lol....
Happy New Year everyone.

....from a Norfolk escapee spending New Year up norf in cosy cottage by the sea
"silly Suffolk", Shaney?

When I was at primary school (in Suffolk, obviously) we were taught that 'silly' was a corruption of 'sealy (sp?)' which is an an Old English word for 'holy' (because the county has so many churches). So, obviously, Suffolk people are 'holy', whereas Norfolk people are simply 'good' (as in 'Norfolk'n'good'!)

You cheeky monkey , I'm only a few miles from the border you know ...watch I don't creep up on you one of these days and pelt you with dumplings ...of the Norfolk variety :0)
I wish all of you All The Best in the Coming Year, especially solving (tho' I have heard there are supposed to be more important things in life...........)!
