I'm really stuck!
I've got the grid filled in and the 'symbol' but I've no clue as to who 'x' is.
Please could some kind person point me in the right direction before I go mad!

I think I have completed this, but am puzzled by the two colours used to shade the unclued entries. Wouldn't they be better the other way round?
