Arial font

I don't suppose I'm in the correct section here, but here goes!!!

Can you recreate the German letter O, with two dots above, in Arial font? I'm reading through a dissertation, for a friend, which uses a lot of German surnames and this would be a definite improvement.

Even if you can't help, thanks for looking.

an umlaut? Ö ?
Alt + 0246 for ö

Alt + 0214 for Ö
Hold down Alt and press code 0214 in your numberpad. This will put an umlaut over the letter typed.
If the dissertation is a Word Document you can insert/change characters by clicking on Insert then click on Symbol. It's self-explanatory from there.
Hold down alt and type 148 on the keypad for ö and 153 for Ö
In "MS Word" go to "Insert/ Symbol" and you get a whole load of symbols including the umlaut.
” and ™ Chuck?
alt and 0153 :)

That's a tm-laut :-)))
Wow! I learnt something new today. :o)

Thank you so much everyone - perhaps I was in the right section after all! I think I might be back (hopefully to contribute).
I have seen a few Lääger- lauts.
Stricly speaking, I think Arial is a typeface, rather than a font.

Well, East Sussex to be more accurate
Arial regular, italic, bold, bold italic. These are all one font, but four different typefaces.
are you in word?
if so from symbols
