Question Author
Thanks for your input, Dancecaller. Sorry for the spelling mistakes there it's because I fed, unwantedly, my laptop with a ug of coffee a few months ago and ever since it's a bit fussy with the letters it types. Now, any serious ideas about the question?
Thank you

You might have got a more sensible answer from the 'arts and literature' category.
I would think each literary competition starts by setting out it's own criteria, Jane Austin would not win a SiFi prize.
It could be argued that you can only say that literature is 'good' if you say good for what.
To a certain extent it is a matter of personal taste.
