I couldn't understand a word that the Irish bloke from Mrs Browns was saying, so I used the sub-titles, but they couldn't keep up with his fast talking.

What Irish bloke? There are several on Mrs Brown's
GN. Is doing very well for someone so talentless, I like him .
It was a fibrillation show, I can imagine it would have been hard to keep pace with the speed Brendan talks.
It's the only chat show we watch. Graham Norton has the gift of really including all his guests and knowing when he should just sit back and listen. I like him and find him humorous and intelligent. I even found myself liking Harry Styles last night. He seems to have grown up and become very personable. I had no problem with understanding Brendan O'Carroll.
I deliberately didn't watch because the Irish person was on.
I assume Mrs Brown himself.

I can understand him fine, funnily enough.
Brenden O'Carroll...
Well slap my thigh, I've never watched it and never twigged Mrs Brown was played by a man.
Yes, and his wife in real life plays his daughter.

Anyway...it's rubbish imo.
I don't watch Mrs Brown's Boys but he can be fun as a guest for a while - equally if someone has hearing difficulties I can appreciate they'd struggle with the accent and the speed of delivery.
I enjoyed the show last night, but then I am a fan of 'Mrs Brown' and young Harry Styles who has matured into a lovely young man and I love his new single.
What a shame that so many could not understand him, I am sure if you write and tell him he will in future speak in a slow and contained manner so that you can understand him!
I don't think it's that many who couldn't and I'm sure trt wishes his hearing wasn't impaired - subtitles often lag well behind and things lose their impact.
Perhaps the repeat will have subtitles.
Brendan only took on the role of Mrs Brown himself because the actress who was supposed to play her dropped out at the last minute. He doesn't do a bad job of playing a woman :D
He's good at it and there are some humorous bits but it's just same old same old.
Sorry TRT. Had not realised you had an impairment. I can see why you found it difficult.
I think what I love about Norton is the variety of guests and how even though some are from different genres they all get along quite well - well on the couch at least.
He's certainly far from talentless!
