I could sing.

4 nights of sleeping through and had a fabulous wee date night with my dad at the Speedway. If you have Sky Sports it's on at 11.30 if you fancy a bit of Queenie spotting!

I feel great and I think things may finally be on the up :)

Wouldn't have got through some of it without you guys and gals - so have a huge Thank You from me

In the most common definition of the term, it is a couple (often with children) doing something just as a couple.

In this case it's father and daughter, taking a step away from the humdrum of an everyday evening.

Back story I'll leave to Queenie if needed.

Well done. You have to take the rough with the smooth QoM.

Life is just like horse racing - it has its Epsom Downs ;)
Unnecessary divebuddy.
Good to read you're improving queenie. Small steps ;)

Divebuddy - my mother (Nungate) passed away very suddenly at the start of the year. I've been through utter hell of late - prior to this my dad was always working and it was just me and mum - me caring for her and doing what we enjoyed together. Now that she is no longer with us my dad and I do something that we both enjoy as he works and I'm back at work and at times we don't get to see each other much even though we live in the same house. So we make a 'date' to do something together at least once a month. I'm trying to rebuild what we had before. I understand how it seems an odd phrase but I think Mamyas definition/explanation covers it. I've had a lot to deal with and the worst part for me wasn't necessarily losing my mother it was the panic attacks that lead me to struggle and not enjoy what I was used to.

I will look after my tootsies Anne and I'll take better care and watch where I'm going.

Ta Choux, Baths and Butterbun. There's a biggie coming up in just under two weeks - I've been desperate to get to this point so I'm hoping that it too will be like tonight...utterly amazing
