I don't think we should have a pro-EU PM. I quite liked Andrea Leadsom. (mind you, I'm not a tory so I don't suppose my opinion counts with you)

I could be persuaded to become a tory if they were bold and chose The Lord Mogg for leader.
But I expect that's just a dream some of us had.

she could but she'd get a kicking, we need a brexit leader to implement brexit. A stalking horse may well emerge, Theresa will probably keep schtumm and hope Boris gives here a half decent job. Dave will stay on the back benches and get kicked up stairs when he wants too be. My money is on Gove as chancellor, Theresa may get the token role of Deputy PM to keep the remainic bruised egos happy.

Ed....I think May could be the dark horse in this new battle for Tory Leadership.

In her dealings with the Police, she has showed that she is pretty fearless, and I think that there could be a iron fist inside her velvet glove.

But I still reckon that Boris's time has come. If he cocks this chance up, he may not get another.

I agree with TTT about Gove...I would imagine that a deal has already been down between him and Boris.

Andrea Leadsom - unsure whether she's got the clout? Theresa's 6 years as home secretary give her a little more oomph.

am not a Tory, but can't see Boris getting in.
Save it for a general election when he can stand in his own right.
A few more years to wait I think.

I like Boris, but not sure he is reliable enough. I think I would go for Theresa May as she has been very quiet over the referendum, almost as if she didn't want to rock the boat. Rees-Mogg is great, but would he be down to earth enough?

I don't think it will be Boris. He has made lots of enemies within the Party. The men in grey suits won't want a wrecker, they need someone to bring the party together.
May and Gove on the final ballot paper for members to choose from.

Ruth Davidson would be brilliant, but it's too early for her. Mogg might be good in the future, he is clever, but he does seem to like the young fogey persona, which would put voters off.

I think Ruth would be good in about 10 - 15 years Maybe not quite as long as that, but it takes time.
