This lady had the solution before such things were available.
£40 for two pairs!!!!
And I thought a windbreak was just for the beach
The name shreddies was used years ago, certainly in the RAF but possibly by all services, to describe underwear when stationed in hot climates. Because of the humid conditions the underwear lasted no time and quickly shredded, thus the name.
Also called skiddies
Better to develop a method to make them silent, so you can just pretend they are not yours. Owning a dog is a good idea for this, I often get away with blaming my large Labrador !
I think that jamming a pair of 'odor eaters' down your underwear would do a good 'job' too.
I think they're a great idea. I won't be tempted to get any at that price, but there must be people whom they're a godsend.
Vulcan42 is almost, but not quite right. When I was in the RAF they acquired the name because the cellulose material from which they were made closely resembled knitted Shreddies, the breakfast cereal.

Googling "shreddies" results in all sorts of explanations for the term...all to do with underwear.
I do wonder if the cereal manufacturers gave any though to the colourful background?
