I don't like the relationship between Connie and the male nurse, (can't remember his name)
It makes me feel uncomfortable. Their public canoodling in the hospital would not be tolerated I'm sure in real life. A word would have been had somewhere.

Oh the lovely Charles Venn as Jacob??

No in real life it may well not be tolerated , but it isn't is it?
Although the tales that come out from what goes on in Hospital would make anyone's hair curl.

Where did Jacob come from? He just waltzed in off the street and insinuated himself into a position as a nurse. He seemed to be hired on the spot, no interview or anything - were they just short of nurses that day?

I know they have a doctor in attendance to advise on the medical terms and procedures but as for the rest - pure fantasy. How many nurses and doctors in A & E would take off during a shift to go to a patient's home, sort out personal problems, follow them outside the hospital and generally get involved in their lives. When I've been to casualty, they just about know your name. You have to suspend belief and realize you're just watching a tv programme.
