What Does 'an Educated Guess Mean'

Say someone was asked how many monarchs were there in the UK last century. You might know ER was on the throne for half of the time and guess 5 before her.
I'd guess the answer is 6.

My dictionary defines it as this ::

A [well] informed guess, an estimate or guess based on experience or theoretical knowledge.

Seems common sense to me !
