quite a few channels on freeview carry the message "your device does support this service but needs to be connected to the internet". what does this mean and what does one need to do? thanks in advance.

shd hv added that my tv set also is my internet monitor.
How are you connected to the Internet? Cable or wireless? Sounds as if you have been disconnected which means either tweaking the cable as it may be loose or resetting your wireless connection (more complicated and would need the make of your system)
Question Author
connected via cable. which seems to be fine.
try going to the website of the channel you want. You might have to sign up or something
I have never done the "TV as monitor thing" but maybe when its your monitor it stops being a TV and receiving freeview? Do you need to "tell it" to be a TV again?
