little kiddies outside lying in their bikinis - water pool beside them - 9 and 10 years old - what would be the outcry if in they were bra and knickers -would there be a loud outcry nice to see them enjoy the sun tho. sorry - I live in an open plan cul-de-sac

It's all about context.

I would happily chat to a stranger by the pool just wearing a bikini but I wouldn't stand outside my room in bra and knickers chatting.

it is about context. I've paddled in the sea on holiday while talking to a naked man I didn't know about jellyfish. Had I been in Dorchester high street I'd have been deeply concerned. ;-)

Mostly not but they are aware that they are girls and girls wear bikinis.

Mikey at age 9-10 years I would rather they covered up in a Bikini or Swimsuit, nude bathing is ok for toddlers.

I agree Ummm, but ASDA should have thought about selling padded tops for little girls. They admitted that it was unwise and withdrew them from sale, if my memory serves me correctly.

When we question whether or not children should be outside in their swimwear - or in their underwear - it's an awfully sad indictment upon the society we've created.
