French Translation Please

Was always rubbish at French and don't want to use the net.

Can someone please translate the following for me.

Have a fantastic trip! Bring me back something pretty. Love you.

(It's for my 12 year old neice so please don't change it to anything that might be rude).

This is for milly's niece, molly, so she'd use the familiar:

Je te souhaite un voyage fantastique - apportes-moi quelque chose d'assez. Je t'aime.

Is that from google translate JD? I'd say Molly's was better, been a while but I'd use:- J'espere que tu aurais un voyage fantastique! Apportez-moi quelque chose jolie. Je vous t'aime!
That's off the top of my head though 13 years after I last studied any!

Molly's translation states "bring me back something fairly new" and "Love you" is just "Vous aimer" where as je vous aime is" I love you".
I may be wrong :(

Total nonsense, I'm afraid, and a perfect example of why translation websites should never be used!

Avoir un voyage fantastique means "to have a fantastic voyage" i.e. the infinitive, not the imperative. And saying "je vous aime" to a family member, especially a 12-year old one is just bizarre!

Ont is the third person plural of the very "to have" and means (they) have.

Me ramener quelque chose, again, is the infinitive, not the imperative.

Vous aimer means "to love you" when addressing more than one person or a person you don't know well - even more bizarre!

So, the French already have an expression for "have a good journey" - "Bon voyage". We even use it in English.

If you want to express the hope that someone has a "fantastic" journey, you'd need to say something like "Je te souhaite un voyage merveilleux!" Remember that "fantastique" in French doesn't convey all the meanings of "fantastic" in English.

To say "Bring me back something pretty" you'd say "Remmène-moi quelque chose de joli."

And, finally, to say "I love you" to just one family member, you use the phrase that most people know: "Je t'aime."

Poor milly, god knows what she will write now. Go with whoever speaks french fluently if there is anyone here who does. I used my rusty knowledge backed up by google, so perfectly ok to overlook my suggestion!!
