Two guys were drinking in their local, when one of them spots a man sitting alone in a corner who looks just like the Pope. He says to his mate ‘Look over there, that guy looks like the Pope’.

The second guy looks towards the corner where the man is sitting and replies ‘I don’t think the Pope would come here for a drink – it’s not him’.

The first man is convinced that it is the Pope and announces that he is going to go over and ask the man if he is the Pope.

He goes over to the man and asks ‘Are you the Pope?’

To which the man replies curtly ‘*** Off’

Taken aback, he goes back to his mate who asks ‘Well, is he the Pope?’

The first guy replies ‘I don’t know – he wouldn’t say’
