Why Does She Act Like That?

I don't understand a friend of mine. She is this girl who is really nice and has great charisma, and I like to stay with her. When the group is only a girl group. As soon as there is a boy, she starts "flirting" in subtle ways or even in obvious ways, even tho she has a boyfriend. She MOSTLY flirts with guys who other girls like. She already did that 3 times in front of those girls: 1 with a boy another friend of us liked, and with 2 different boys I said were cute (one of them I was deeply interested on, and is now my bf). At first I thought it was just me who saw things, but my boyfriend confirmed that she really does this flirty thing because when we first met and he wanted to talk to me, she always showed up between us and started talking to him and taking him away from the group. And it was during his sister birthday, another great friend of US. Now the question is: Why does she act like that? I don't think she is cheating with his bf but why would she flirt heavly with boys and play with their feelings despite some of her friends are interested in them? She doesnt seem so angry or even hating us, but she still does this! Could be something wrong with her life and she vents in this way? I'm worried this whole thing could even ruin HER relationship, would a serious boyfriend accept this kind of acting? I don't think is because she likes attention, because as soon as they show some kind of interest on her, she begins to vent about it.
I already asked her why she does that but she always say "I'm not flirting, it's just the way I am that makes boys crazy for me" but yet is not really true, because I already saw one of them (besides my bf who was really *** off) being annoyed by her.
I just hope one of those boys wont hurt her in any way, because of other things that happened and I cant share online

Well if she doesn’t know why she does it (or won’t tell you) then i don’t think we can know. If she is making you unhappy though then stay well clear.
She probably feels a needs assurance/validation that she is fanciable. Must have low self esteem. Rather sad really, but that's her burden.
