She now says, despite having said the opposite earlier, that she wants to remain with the people who have prevented her from deporting so many terrorists.
Wasn't removal from their jurisdiction, part of the reason for many voting for Brexit?

Why would people vote for Brexit to withdraw from the ECHR? The ECHR and EU are two different things.
May has acknowledged that there is no prospect of getting the legislation through Parliament. That does not mean she has changed her mind, she just knows it can't be done.
Evidence if needed that the Express is support Gove for the leadership.
We can leave the ECHR any time we want to. Or rather, any time the government decides to.
the rag I read
daily grunt or something
said she was ready to ditch the ECHR

as always this week we will have to wait for clarification of what the future and St Theresa has in store for us poor saps

I don't think one can leave it while remaining a member of the EU.
All Council of Europe member states are party to the Convention and new members are expected to ratify the convention at the earliest opportunity.
Michael Gove said after the referendum that we could disentangle ourselves very quickly.
We can leave it, Khandro, but the EU wouldn't like it.

Looking around, I think the only two people who know what they want with consistency are Vladimir Putin and Nigel Farage.
I think when we have left the EU we should have our own bill of rights pretty much as is but with the scope to include things that can address issues such as criminals rights etc. The right to a family life should also be clarified so that no one can bring frivolous action. Such as having a cat does not constitute a family life.

If the foreign criminal has a family they have a choice of staying here I thour them or returning with him or her. Smples

david cam as he then was - pledged to repeal the act and replace it with a Bill of British Rights - and by doing this he wasnt planning to enlarge our freedoms, but limit them ......

Khandro....( 16:54 )

Gove has said a lot of things recently, like ::

"Becoming PM...No, I'm constitutionally incapable of it" ( March 2012 )

" If anyone wants me to sign a piece of parchment in my own blood saying that I don't want to be PM, then I'm perfectly happy to do that"
(August 2012)

" I could not be PM. I'm not equipped to be PM. I don't want to be PM "
(October 2012)

Speeding forward, in March 2016 he said " I don't want to do it and there are people who are far better equipped than me to do it "

So, I would take anything he now says with a wheelbarrow full of Sodium Chloride.
"So, I would take anything he now says with a wheelbarrow full of Sodium Chloride. "

what, you mean just like all your predictions ?

P.P. Yes, we have a lot of freedoms, some are mixed blessings, as Anatole France said, "The law in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets and to steal bread."

I'm sure he is sacrificing his urgent desire not to be PM, and the opportunity to spend more time with his family, in order to save Johnson from having to do the job, and for the good of the party and the country. The man's an absolute martyr.
I clicked the button and the website owners admitted it was a spoof site.
anatole france
"La majestueuse égalité des lois interdit aux riches comme aux pauvres de coucher sous les ponts, de mendier dans la rue et de voler du pain."

yes excellent Khandro - but I cant see the word 'freedom' or 'iiberte' in that quote- it may be me. Can you tell me where it is ?

if you mean by "lois interdit... " that there will be more laws prohibiting things that were hitherto free, all I can say is that you are clairvoyant
