He must be getting better he was so grumpy! Everything I took for him he didn't want. Can't be bothered with newspaper, don't want sweets, don't want playing cards.
No doctor phoned as expected so I rang and spoke to senior nurse. He did have keyhole and no they did not remove three ribs, they had to do something with the third rib while they removed the top lobe of the lung. When I told him this he said he knew that. I reminded him what he said last night about full op and three ribs being removed. He denied he said it grrrrr.
He still has very low blood pressure which they are monitoring every two hours even through the night.
He had a little walk round earlier but said it wasn't easy as he was still attached to the drip so had to move drip stand around at the same time as carry lung drain contain round with him.
Had a nightmare journey home. Got within sight of tollbooths on Severn crossing near Chepstow when they put cones across the road, if we had been one minute earlier I'm sure we would have got through. No warning at all, no road closure notice. We had to go all the way back and go through Gloucester.
Got to try and find out if the bridge is open tomorrow but don't know where to start.

Maybe grumpy because of pain caren? So was keyhole surgery. Good, hopefully a quicker recovery
sounds like hard work for you, Caran, and not a lot of thanks (at least for now)! But Keep Calm and Carry On...

Thank you for that shoota.
Welcome. Glad OH is mending.
He will have been still suffering confusion from the anesthetic so what is his reality is "his truth" best to just go with it. Take a breath and think of the bigger picture for you two:-) xx
Thanks for the update Caran x

When you go today, he'll have read the paper, done the crossword, finished the sweets and will be sitting playing patience when you walk in :-)

Please remember to take care of yourself xx
That's good news Caren. Sounds about right. Good luck to you both.

You could have dropped in here for a cuppa if you had to come up to go through Gloucester. I'm about ten minutes off Junction 13 of the M5. :o}
He's going to be fine - all normal there. I think you badly need a good night's sleep and to ease off a bit, if poss.. :) x
Yes, take care of yourself now, Caran....are you eating and sleeping properly?
Caran, sorry missed this last night - so glad it turned out to be keyhole after all, should mean a speedier recovery.

Awful you had such a rough journey back too, it takes it out on you so get rest when you can and take care.x
