My Tower Poppy is here at last and its just beautiful. I feel so privileged to have one and so very protective of it already.

If you are lucky like me and have one too, what have you decided to do with yours?

They do make you feel protective of them, Maydup...

I am not putting my stem on......I have a beautiful wooden bowl made for me by Owd......I am resting the poppy in that with some trailing ivy and putting it on a low table....x
mine hasn't arrived yet. I think mine is going to be stored in its box for the present. I think I might put it out in November each year
Pleased to hear that your poppy has arrived safely. I have mine in a tall cream vase so that it doesn't topple over (the first one I put it in did, the vase chipped but fortunately not the poppy. Still considering whether to get a display case for it.

Oh wow, that's beautiful gness, brought a lump to my throat.

It won't be much longer now Woof, they are all on their way now. Be careful when you open the box, its a keepsake in itself.
I got mine yesterday, found it a bit fiddly putting together. Those rubber washers were little devils. Also it needed a good wipe with a damp cloth to get it clean. Very beautiful though.
I opened mine on a thick rug on the floor....if anyone was going to drop it it would be me.....

Owd's bowl is very dear to me.....the poppies are special and MrG and I spent thirty years arguing over ivy....so the three together are really happy making....x

don't let anyone in the house with a walking stick
Haven't got mine yet but when I get it I shall display it and think of some poor lad who died, and my grandfather who was shot in the leg and survived to come home and raise a family, otherwise I wouldn't be posting this.
Not many come to my house with walking sticks, Ael......though I can't say the same about people leaving my house...... :-(
My two haven't arrived yet but they seem to be trickling out so maybe not too long to wait.

Do you know, it seems even more precious after waiting all this time for it to arrive. I can't bring myself to put it together yet, i just need to look at it in its box for a little while longer.
The box is lovely too isn't it.....can't throw it out....☺
Wish I could have bought one - but I bought a poppy tray and plates as a sort of solidarity and I've gathered some French wild, red poppy seeds to scatter when I get back to UK. Near as I can get.
I must have been lucky then as mine came way before Christmas, it is slightly chipped though, arrived like that but I suppose they are a bit weathered. The box is lovely as you all say.
Oh May, I am sooo jealous. Everybody seems to have now received their poppies. I still await the two I have ordered. I'm hoping they'll be here soon.

Have you checked the order status online Jan? Go to the Tower page and pop your details in for an update on he delivery. They will be on their way now, I just know they will!
May, I've been checking every day. They were at the Gatwick depot on the 17th and due to be delivered yesterday. I waited in ALL day. They didn't arrive. Just checked with Yodel and they PROMISE they will be delivered today. We shall see. Just checked site again and they're still not loaded onto the van for delivery.

Here's hoping it's today then Jan.
