My left testicle swells, then goes back down again, I have a dull ache in it that comes and goes, I also get infrequent sharp painful spasms that literally make me jump out of my skin.

My left testicle can feel quite hard at times and now I have a pain on the left side of my lower abdomen. I am very worried that it could be testicular cancer. I will see the doctor tomorrow, but would like to know in advance if I really should be worried.

Worrying will do no good. I'm sure the doctor tomorrow will reassure you that it's not what you fear.
I'd even consider A&E.... anything "tackle" related is an emergency in my view
Many causes of your symptoms and it is highly unlikely to be cancer. You're doing the right thing in seeing your GP, not only to put your mind at rest but for treatment.
More than likely you have collided with something which has caught you in a very tender area. As Sandy says, see the doc.
Worrying won't do you any good - you've already made the best decision, to see your doctor. Resist Googling your symptoms tonight as you may read into things that are not there, which will only make you worry more. Fingers crossed for you that everything is ok
How long have you had the symptoms and how old are you?

Hi hc461, I have had the occasional dull ache and the swelling in my testicle for about a month.

I have only just started getting the painful spasms and then the pain in my lower left abdomen which came on today.

I am 30 years old.
If you are seeing the doctor tomorrow you won't have long to wait. Whatever you do when you see him, just explain your symptoms and DON'T tell him you've been on the internet. They don't like that.
It is almost certainly a varicocoel (bag of worms)....Google it.

No big deal.

Your GP wilL "have a feel."
Epididimorchitis - may b infection- definately see your GP - and rest ... Wear good fitting undies too to help x
