Been given 15mg for sleep problems, going through police investigation by the IPCC at the moment very stressful, but all it has done is given me an enormous appetite....I have just lost 2 stone in the last 2 years so don't want to put it all back on but I need to feel better to be able to deal with the investigation. It's the 2nd week and haven't found much change in my mood, just feel anxious I am putting weight on, once the tablets have gotten into my system does the cravings for food subside...or do I go back to my doctor and ask for something else that preferably doesn't put weight on but can make me feel able to cope??

Ask for different medication. Mirtazapine is notorious for it's side effect of inducing weight gain. You could easily put on the weight you've lost in just a few months.
