Do women get over broken relationships better than men?
I think they do.
I actually think that men are the weaker sex.

no...........yes....
Hard to say, neilit - women tend to share their emotions with their ftriends, men (IMO) seem to keep it all bottled in. I know that's a big generalisation but everyone's different.
Imo, men move on quicker, but because they find it harder to be alone. In a massive generalisation way ;-)
I think it is linked to the type of person you are, how long you have been in relationship, if you dumper or dumped etc. Nothing to do with gender.
I also think it depends on the circumstances of the break up.

If you are the dumper, it's usually easier to move on. You've already started to by the time you have "the talk".

If you are the dumpee and you haven't even seen it coming, it's usually much harder.

Ive had 3 (4 at a push, but thats another story) long term relationships...(a few 'friends with benefits' relationships along the way). Each time a relationship has ended ive always been the one to gone to pieces and the other half has always been the one to get on with their life and somehow find another love interest.
'' friends with benefits'',,,,,,,,,,,, you wee devil !!
Why do I so dislike that expression?
Better than friends on benefits though, Daisy.

Dunno Daisy, we all like sex dont we?
Question Author
lol tony
Granted. But benefits for whom?
Question Author
Daisy, both parties involved from my experince
I don't think you can generalise at all. I do think if the man was deeply involved and didn't want the break-up they have a tendency to go more over the top and become a bit unhinged for a while, there again that might be garbage.
I agree that it depends how the relationship ended and who did the 'ending' of it....it's tough all round I guess.
Never understand why people enter a 'friends with benefits' situation....waste of time for where does it lead other than someone getting hurt if the develop feelings for their 'partner'.
or friends with benefits on benefits !!
I wonder if it has to do with pride in those men that take it the worst? It also (in both genders) has a lot to do with mental strength and self esteem.
Question Author
are friends with benefits so rare? Thought it was commonplace. Seriously. Had loads of 'in the sack' stuff with female friends, didnt think it was out of bounds!
I've always been the one to end relationships so I'm usually over it before I call it a day. It was 'always' their fault though :-)
