I am being messed about with excuses and no shows by a young lad. He was a proper well mannered young man I contacted to fix my laptop, he offered me a years service for about £30 I thought this was cheap. All of a sudden he is very busy, I have had 2 'no shows' in 24 hours. I found him on a FB website in my area. I sent him a lovely reference for him to put on his website, but to be honest, I want to out him, maybe he hs taken on more than he can cope with, who knows ?

That is the clue to your query. Get what you pay for and you are getting £30 of service per annum....i.e nothing.

\write off your £30 and put it down to experience.
Agree with Sqad.If it sounds to good to be true it often is....

I fear you are both right, just as I suspected. such a charming con man, that the way they do it.
Have you thought about trying to find someone in your local "Trusted Traders"?
Does the Small Claims Court have a minimum claim and is it in the region of £30?

Or is 30 quid enough for a typical night out, these days?
Sorry, but laptops need servicing every year? News to me.
Hypongosis, £30 would hardly pay for the taxi!

If this young man is servicing ladies for £30 p.a. I am not surprised that he is very busy.

Glad you think it all big a joke some of you, I am a pensioner and money is short, by the way he has made me a public apology
Obiter you are awful but I like you ..... seriously I would go to Trading Standards and complain apology or not and try and get your recommendation removed as well.
If he's made you a public apology and returns to service your pc I'd stay with him. He may have had emergency call outs but the apology makes him seem genuine to me. Give the guy another chance.
