Would such behaviour be treated so harshly in the rest of the UK?

I hope not Sandy.
you cant take alcohol onto the beach ?
Bet the cameras were out at 'Hollywood'!
Amazing how attitudes differ Sandy. I'm just back from 2 weeks in Menorca and there were naked men, women and families on every beach we went to.
But have you *seen* Ian Paisley in his pants - let alone without them??

[ other politicians are available - balaclavas will not be worn ]
Just seen that Sandy on Ceefax - then I thought of my friend's son who at 27 passed tests about a month ago that sees him as a Registrar of Cardiology - in five years time he should profess as a consultant. It wasn't long ago she told me about him skinny dipping in Portrush after he surfed.

Think this is totally wrong - classing them as paedophiles - what next.
Surely you need a tot of something if you're skinny dipping in NI?

anneasquith, alcohol, sunshine, and skinny dipping, could be an intoxicating combination. Where might it all end?
The police won't let them drink or swim without costumes. I suppose they can enjoy the sun.
Who's classed them as paedophiles?
Question Author
Nobody. To be on the register isn't necessarily because the offender is a paedophile.
Sipo - the police stipulated that there were young children about - a connection methinks.
Question Author
There was a nudist club hired a swimming pool once a week at Templemore Avenue Baths. The press heard about it and the sanctimonious Belfast councillors were tripping over themselves to let it be known that they had it stopped.
As a young un we often went skinny dipping in the local lake. Parents would have had a hissy fit if they new.
is ian paisley dead ?
Question Author
No. Still alive, the old ****
*** ?
There must be something terribly wrong with our society when the police think that as soon as a child sees a naked body,he/she immediately becomes traumatised.
Question Author
****, just my opinion. I'm sure there are plenty who consider him a saint.
Anne - you are asking is Ian Paisley dead - no, NEVER, NEVER NEVER LOL
Simply being naked in public is not an offence and certainly isn't indecent exposure which has all sorts of conditions to be fulfilled before the offence is proved.
Nor can you be out on the sex offenders register for being naked whether there are children in the area or not, for that you have to be convicted of a sexual offence, which nudity isn't.
So unless these people were also indulging in lewd and obscene behaviour these coppers are talking through the holes in their undies.
(Unless there is special legislation in NI which I don't think is the case.)
