Policeman Being Assaulted: What Would You Do?

I was walking along the beach the other day whne I saw what appeared to be an altercation between a policeman and some fella holding a large piece of wood.
The copper tried to reason with him and as I got closer, the man started to beat the officer with the plank of wood.

I was just about to get involved when.........

It's amazing the reaction you get in work when you build that joke up on the unsuspecting and the new starters but as I say, one has to be a certain age to understand it.
