hi why is it that every time my son gets any tropical BLUE fish they always seem to get attacked? and usually die. today i bought a blue rainbow fish for him and already he seems to have been assulted, previously it has happend to his blue, gouramis and blue guppies resulting in their deaths. i am sick of spending money on these wretched creatures that only seem to live a short while. he has other assortments of supposidly 'community' fish in the very large tank also.

What's assaulting them? What I mean is, is it the same fish doing it? And what type of fish is doing it?
He could try putting a dummy blue fish in the tank and watching to see what is doing the attacking... blue tones may have ultra violet components which one of the breeds in the tank is sensitive to and sees as food or a rival... remove the culprit(s) and try again
What's actually attacking the blue fish. Blue gouramies can be evil when they want so im quite surprised there
