Half a million quid!

"She accused a colleague putting his hand on her thigh, displaying a soft porn calendar in his office and calling her ‘babe’.

A tribunal backed her claim of sexual harassment and constructive dismissal and awarded her £5,215."

If that's the case, I should be set up for life with the things I could claim for.

Shouldn't there be some sort of cap on what ridiculous payouts can be made on these pathetic claims?

That's rich because there's a certain amount of sexual discrimination attached to these claims for sexual harassment.

Why is it that men cannot have these opportunities to claim also?

Just a thought don't take it too seriously.

Better for employers to only have single sex departments, mixing the sexes can lead to all kinds of problems.
Aye, these American imported habits have a lot to answer for, eh?
It brings to mind those British terrorists who were awarded up to a £1mn apiece whilst the soldiers that were protecting us had to fight for just the minimum compensation for losing limbs etc. Although those terrorists were not convicted there is a case in English law for having the 'Not Proven' verdict.

She could be described as a lot of things - but 'babe' certainly isn't one of them.
