French open a day centre in roughly the same place.

Right wing British politicians say:

"look look they're opening another massive immigration centre there - you can't trust them, they're lying it's the begining of the end you know - hell in a hand basket -remember Waterloo! - it's a conspiracy I tell you"

If we get more asylum seekers/immigrants looking for cheap work here in the UK, couldn`t we try and get some Eastern European ex Bankers in. Half price wages, no bonuses.

Has a study ever been done why Britain remains a target for these illegals? I know we have the usual outpourings such as free health, lodgings and handouts but is there anything else. It seems obvious that many speak the English language, that there are millions already here from their sub continent, that they have the Human rights organisations on their side. They can usually stay here indefinately once here and we have in place a indefinate leave to remain (some say amnesty in another name).

But is there a real reason why they choose the UK?
