What is the meaning of "receive play' in the following sentence? : By the spring of 1964, Lyndon Johnson had begun to use the name "Great Society" to describe his reform program, and that term received even more play after his landslide victory over conservative Republican Barry Goldwater in the presidential election of that year.

It means "to be in common usage" or "to be widely familiar." Like when a song "gets a lot of play" on the radio - it is played often, gets a lot of air time. A term or a thought gets a lot of play, or isn't getting any play, when it is or isn't used much. So they're talking about how commonly used the term "Great Society" was at that time.
