So animals have a horrific death in the name of allah.
Schools should show videos on how the animals are killed the halal way and be allowed to vote their choice.

Will they still be serving sausages and mash?!

Read it properly. It may happen, it may not.
There is a large proportion of Muslim children at the school and some parents have requested that halal meat be served.
The governors are investigating if it would be more cost effective and efficient to make all meat halal.
"Shabana Ayub, 30, a Muslim parent of two Dale Primary pupils, welcomed the idea of introducing halal meat but only if there were other menu options.
She said: 'I think it's a good idea because my children both like meat but they can't eat anything that's not halal.
'I think there needs to be other options because there are Hindu and Christian children who go to the school as well.'"
So blame the school governors for this one, not the Muslims, if it happens.

May I add - the link explains other ways animals are slaughtered too, not just by Muslims!

A female friend of mine works in a school kitchen in Birmingham, and the school does have SOME, Muslim children but ALL the meat they serve is Halal.
Just another example of the indiginous population bending over backwards to placate group of people who have thanked us by planting bombs in trains and buses, trying to kill our prime minster, and preach hate on our streets.
The quicker this "problem" is sorted out the better because I am getting sick of it.

Good news if it happens as Halal meat is better for health.

Is there any basis of fact on this, or is this just your opinion?

What about the suffering of the animals Keyplus, doesn't that matter!

There are no health benefits that I am aware of from eating halal prepared meat compared to the way it is usually slaughtered. I do see the point about not cross contaminating though,if they are going to serve halal it cannot be prepared alongside non-halal. A seperate are for preparation may not be practical.

I may never be able to convince many as most of the people are determind. But these are the benefits of Halal meat and I am sure even more scientists and doctors would agree with it than the ones who may not.
1. Islamic method of slaughtering animal
Zakkaytum is a verb derived from the root word Zakah (to purify). Its infinitive is Tazkiyah which means purification. The Islamic mode of slaughtering an animal requires the following conditions to be met:
a. Animal should be slaughtered with sharp object (knife)
The animal has to be slaughtered with a sharp object (knife) and in a fast way so that the pain of slaughter is minimised.
b. Cut wind pipe, throat and vessels of neck
Zabiha is an Arabic word which means ‘slaughtered’. The ‘slaughtering’ is to be done by cutting the throat, windpipe and the blood vessels in the neck causing the animal’s death without cutting the spinal cord.
c. Blood should be drained
The blood has to be drained completely before the head is removed. The purpose is to drain out most of the blood which would serve as a good culture medium for micro organisms. The spinal cord must not be cut because the nerve fibres to the heart could be damaged during the process causing cardiac arrest, stagnating the blood in the blood vessels.
2. Blood is a good medium for germs and bacteria
Blood is a good media of germs, bacteria, toxins, etc. Therefore the Muslim way of slaughtering is more hygienic as most of the blood containing germs, bacteria, toxins, etc. that are the cause of several diseases are eliminated.
3. Meat remains fresh for a longer time

3. Meat remains fresh for a longer time
Meat slaughtered by Islamic way remains fresh for a longer time due to deficiency of blood in the meat as compared to other methods of slaughtering.
4. Animal does not feel pain
The swift cutting of vessels of the neck disconnects the flow of blood to the nerve of the brain responsible for pain. Thus the animal does not feel pain. While dying, the animal struggles, writhers, shakes and kicks, not due to pain, but due to the contraction and relaxation of the muscles defecient in blood and due to the flow of blood out of the body.

What's all this Gromit? Posting a Daily Mail link that involves Muslims.
Have I got you converted at last, or are you getting fed up with the continuous poor responses to your usual posts?
Take my advise though choose your words carefully when describing Muslims, 'pesky' isn't very nice is it?
You are in danger of being called a Racist, and we all know you wouldn't want that would you?

It's interesting that even some of the Muslim parents are hinting that it's a step too far, and that other options should be on the menu.
And no, leg end, throat slitting hasn't been a standard method of animal slaughter, certainly in this country, for some time. The method used before the introduction of the electric stunner was pole-axing - an iron spike driven through the head. Not altogether pleasant, I know, but at least the animals mostly went out cold before the moment of death and not forced to die a slow, lingering, undignified death in the name of someone's god - a god, incidentally, about which I should think it cares diddly squat.
