Madeleine identiy mix up grab

http://tinyurl.com/5fo5lg

Were they right? How they could mistake a 2 year old for a 5 year old, I have no idea.

They were very lucky not to have been arrested.

Notice how the only picture which can be enlarged in size is of the (very gorgeous) mother of the child?

Wonder why that is...

Why has the DM printed a picture of a posing model mum and Madeleine McCann? Surely anyone can see that they don't resemble each other at all!!!

Not so long ago, somebody was saying, that if they see someone looking like Madeleine they should do something.

Seems like this couple heard!!!

If everyone took action like this, this will be happening all over!!!

But what is the answer, tell the police and they don't do anything???

I don't know, but I am very sure that if she is still alive she will not be on public display in holiday resorts, cafes, anywhere with CCtv.

Perhaps try to take a discrete photo of the child and adult and report to the police immediately

Good idea Ethel, however i think taking discreet photos of kids in this day & age would probably not go down too well

No, tis a very difficult situation. Grabbing a stranger's child is a no-no too.

No doubt this can now be used as an excuse if someone does try to abduct a girl. 'I thought it was Madeline your honour'. Even the old being abducted/mugged etc can have the 'I thought they were Lord Lucan in drag your honour' alibi.

I've lost count of the number of stories in the paper about sightings. Morocco, Belgium, Holland you name it. The only winners here are those sending the pictures to the newspapers in the first place.

So remember, if you're feeling the credit crunch, any out of focus pictures of a blonde toddler you have may bring you a nice cash windfall and 10 minutes of fame at least.

The pics of Madeline are well over a year old now. She is likely to have changed considerably since they were taken, a years worth of growing is alot of change at that age.
