its all about the bone structure and build, it is not really about beauty. of course its horses for courses, a lot of people would see lily as a very beautiful woman.

Just like comedians aren't funny all the time or Surgeons don't perform miracles on their night out, then glamour models aren't necessarily glamourous when not working.

Oh her. Crikey what a difference a computer makes.
I am well aware of all of that, But then I can't hand on heart site any really good looking models at all these days.
Come to think of it. I can't think of any recently.

Some people are photogenic, others are not. Some very plain people can be made to look wonderful in photos and some 'beautiful' people look much better in real life.

about 99%, I think, tigerlily. Still, the idea is that if anyone can make them look good it's Naomi Campbell or whoever.

It's the fashion industry .All to do with how the clothes hang on them ,bone structure and being photogenic etc . How good they are at sashaying down the catwalk to show off the fashion . .Wipe off the make up and some of them look like the hangover from hell but they still have that certain something that appeals to photographers and fashion designers .
I have seen pretttier girls in my High Street ...but ...they are not photogenic.And it has nothing to do with being skinny .Look at Sophie Dahl in her heyday .
It's just the look that goes with the times and the fashions of the day ...no big deal ....is it ...they are just clothes horses...
To be fair it's a short lived career anyway. Unless of course you make a lot of fuss at airports .

I'd never heard of her, I'm a bit out of touch with high fashion :o) but I think she's lovely. She's got one of those faces like a drawing from a Jackie mag story in the 60's. She may be doll-like but that's what a model's supposed to be isn't it, a canvas that the designers can adapt to any image?
I like Sophie E B too, very striking.
