Angel of the south

What do people think of the shortlisted designs? Personally I like the horse but think all the others look bl00dy awful.

Forgive me if I've missed the point but why do you need it at all? Is sounds like a wierd case of keeping up with the Joneses. The north have some silly looking bloke with his arms stuck out so the south has to have a giant horse that's even bigger.
It all seems like a waste of time and money. Kent is a lovely place as it is without blotting the landscape with a giant horse.
