But is he burning out his fuse out there alone ?
Yes, so far Donald's sabre-rattling rhetoric has proved tremendously successful in getting North Korea to cease its escalating nuclear programme and missile testing.
I feel sorry for the ordinary people of North Korea. They are being kept in total secrecy about the outside world. There is no internet and the phones available to the ordinary members of the public do not connect to anywhere outside NK. Until a few years ago the only phones were in main post offices and if you wanted to make a call you had to book it a week in advance. The only radio and TV stations available are the official government ones , as are the only newspapers. Tourists are limited to a maximum of 8 per group and can only stay in the country for 5 days including the days of arrival and departure so only 3 full days. Each group of tourists has to be accompanied at all times by 2 official guides , these guides tell them where they can go, what they can do and who they can talk to. Obviously the only people they get to talk to are stooges planted by the government to tell them what the government wants them to hear. Tourists have mobile phones and computers confiscated on arrival and do not get them back until they leave the country again.
Most North Koreans do not even know that there are any other countries in the world apart from the 2 Koreas, China, Russia and the Great Satan USA. They are continuously told that their home country has the best standard of living and the most advanced technology in the world and have no way to find that it is not true.
The truth is that NK is close to starvation and the next harvest is a disaster .
This of course does not apply to the elite and those in power, they have a separate economy paid for by NKs arms sales. They sell arms and ammunition to anyone who can pay cash in US $ , this cash is returned to NK in diplomatic bags and used to fund the missile program and provide luxuries for the privileged few, while the rest starve.
I read an article where a reporter managed to smuggle a camera in. He took photos of people eating grass as they had no food.

So sad.
does give you an idea why he was so appalled that Sean Spicer's chief lampoonist was a woman ( see Sat Night Live on u tube)

it is the medium and not the message ( thx to Marshall McLuhan)

People widely believe Hillary lost the election because he called her 'criminal Hillary' Jesus
I know someone who actually went there on holiday - he and his party were subjected to a 17:30 curfew each day.

NoMercy; What was their tour operator called, 'Masochist Travels Ltd.'?

:0)
I have said a few times it can't be beyond the wit of technology to soak the country in propaganda.

The people are kept in the dark and in fear by the constant battle cries of the NK regime. Those are the ones I feel sorry for. They think the world and US in particular, are war hongry on a constant level. But they aren't. The rhetoric from Trump has ratcheted up because of the actions of The dear lead of NK.

They don't realise that by and large (the new threat not withstanding) people don't care about NK, they don't care because they are not 'at war' with them.

You would have to take out the whole hierarchy to have any chance of change.

NK keeps them in fear and hunger to keep control and they do that very well.

They will be allowed to starve before the military stop making nuclear weapons. It happened in the past and will this time.

What the west should be doing is cutting of their money supply in Malaysia. They have countless dummy companies and billions of $ coming in that way. China may be their biggest visible market but they have more on the sly.
Lord knows, Khandro. Why would you want to go the NK when you can go to the Seychelles or somewhere?
Cassa the problem is that the people would just not believe it, they are told everyday that other countries are jealous of North Korea's standard of living and tell lies about them.
Then there is the policy of 'family responsibility' it is assumed that if a person is guilty or even suspected of being guilty of not supporting the State then not only that person but all generations of his/her family are executed. So Grandparents down to grandchildren of the entire family will all be executed without trial.
Even looking at a piece of foreign propaganda is enough to get the entire 3 generations of the persons family executed.
3 generations are imprisoned, not executed.
.......well he's high as a kite anyway!
China could sort this if they wanted to.
Imprisonment in NK is a death sentence, prisoners are not fed, it is upto family to bring food in for them. Very few leave an NK jail alive.
Weed is legal in North Korea.
TTT you need to read this

China is very reluctant to do more to help the USA as it would mean reversing their entire policy of regarding North Korea as allies against the USA. But that policy is starting to show signs of strain.

They might not come out alive Eddie but it's not execution.
There are a lot of strange but true facts about North Korea here are some of them
https://www.unbelievable-facts.com/2016/05/facts-about-north-korea.html/4
Including that there is a list of permitted hair styles and that there is such a severe shortage of fertiliser for crops that it is compulsory to defecate out in the fields so that your poo can be used as fertiliser
Ummm Ok I was wrong about execution but a lifetime in a prison camp without food is almost worse.
It's a crazy country. They must have some idea though. They do let people from SK in occasionally by bus. They must tell them things.
