I did indeed read all the posts, even all of your sarcastic and abusive one's.

But please let me instruct you on the art of politeness?

If one needs a particular poster to answer one's question then one should be polite enough to address that person.

But since you failed to do so, and me not knowing the answer, I took it to be an open question and so left it to others who might know the answer.

I do hope that clears things up for you? So do try and be polite in future, after all it doesn't cost anything.
The Bank of England has missed a great opportunity to celebrate diversity. For example, they could have had a picture of Empire Windrush on the back of the note as an acknowledgement of the contribution West Indians have made to our society.
Someone water the precious flower...
anotheoldgit

is this a veiled threat?
'You know what happened to a certain posters continuous use of the word 'Rollocks' '

and no, I don't know what happened, please enlighten me

(do hope that's polite enough for the likes of you)
I think he had an answer removed Albs....

They don't print halfpenny notes, Sandy. ;-)
Glad the information was helpful to you Alba.
am always curious Mamya (well, maybe nosy lol) but am always happy to learn about things, even at my advanced age and to broaden my mind and am most grateful to those who take time out to search and post different links regarding any Q I've asked.
Most appreciated.

Nice try sandy, but I am not going to be lead down that track because it would seem from this thread, that the hungry laughing hyenas don't need any particular food to gorge on.

For your information I did not, apparently there must be a moderator that can spot abusive language without the need for anyone to point it out.

After all it is against Site Rules, but when has that bothered the likes of you?
Abusive language hasn't bothered the like of you either AOG as you have used it towards me in the past!

Surely it is only polite to speak in the same language, in which one is spoken to?

I have never sworn at you AOG! But you already knew that!
ANOTHEOLDGIT, I'm sure there are many instances of claimants or customers being abusive to staff, whether it be face-to-face or on the 'phone. If that member of staff were equally as abusive in response, I doubt very much that a manager would look upon that as politeness.

If you reply in kind, ANOTHEOLDGIT, are you not the same as the likes of those you despise and look down upon from your self-appointed lofty heights?
Thanks aog I didn't know it was being released on Thursday. Looking forward to seeing my first one !

Happy spending hereIam, but don't spend them all at once. :0)

Question Author
I don't know about others, but if I have a choice between spending a brand new note and an old one I generally spend the old one first and hang onto the new one as long as possible, I am still the same with the new £1 coin.

How sad is that, :0)
