I was working behind the bar in a pub when 2 men from different traveller groups decided to have a fight.
They started swinging punches at each other as I was out in the bar collecting glasses. I was amazed when they stopped the fight to let me get by without dropping the glasses. Another traveller explained to me that the fight was just a contest between the two men and they would not hurt anyone else. When the fight was over the winner bought a round of drinks for the rest of the group and they all shook hands. Yes I know other Gypsy fights are not like that one , but I will never forget the incident.

No-one said, least of all me, that the law should not be applied Tora , what I said was you clearly have no idea what the feck you are talking about, you are so wrapped in in a rabid desire to send riot vans in. rubbish, I want to give proper powers to the authorities to be able to deal with this cancer of society. in reality, once it is known what those powers are then they would hardly ever be needed. I side with the civilised people of this country who are blighted and abused by these vermin with no protection from the state. Frankly I am amazed that the general public have not taken the law into their own hands. What's your solution to the filth, the robbing, the intimidation, the trespassing then? danegeld?

Or maybe start a petition like our friend willbewhatiwill does - gather support for your remedies.


Of course there is a lot needs doing but it certainly isn't as simple as you make out.

kvalidir, tells us that I tar them all with the same brush that is my experience, I've never met an honourable traveller ever, I have many experiences where I live of them causing havoc and our own limp wristed right on liberal do gooders not dealing with the scum. They'd rather send them benefit claim forms than protect the interests of their residents. I would like to see the good side I really would but I have never encountered anything but I describe above.
