How real are you on sites like this?
personally, ive shared a lot of personnel info over time on AB (prison, psych hospitals, etc)but theres loads that I havnt shared. I share the occasional thought on FB but no one really knows me except for what I choose to share.
If anybody could see whats in my head at any given moment, I'd be locked up (probably in a psych hospital again).

pretty real, but I do keep anonymous; hardly anyone on here knows anything about me (and those who do often die unexpectedly)
I'm happy to share my opinions and to some extent experiences if it helps the other person.

But very rarely have I shared my innermost thoughts and fears - when pushed to the limit and I did , it went better than I could have hoped for.

My AB persona is very much me but I don't post really personal stuff.
For example, would you believe that I'm ...
as real as I am anywhere else. I guard my anonymity on here but I don’t lie and I don’t share the contents of my head with anybody. Nailit, its quite usual to think that our own thoughts are mad, strange or chaotic or all three. Its what we act on or what distresses us to the point of breakdown that needs addressing.
There's lots I don't talk about.

For example, would you believe that I'm ...mad about Yorkshiremen;-)

I'm seriously thinking of offing myself. I can come off with a joke, a serious post or whatever but inside I'm dying...
No doubt this will be removed!
Are you serious, Nailit?

I don't know ummmm, its always in my head.
A bit like jnu, I don't feel the need to discuss my personal life on a q&a site, I don't discuss my family / friends, social life , as friendly as most abers are its not " real life " for me .
I am me. I would find it hard to live a lie. My only regret is not having a nickname for on here.
I'm virtual, my PC creates me in real time.

As for "offing oneself", well it's not something you can change your mind about next day, so probably best keep your options open.
I don't know what to say as I've suffered from depression :-(

Over the last 6 months Ive collected a stash of sleeping pills from my GP. Weather I take them or not is another matter.
perhaps the ones to answer this are those ABers that we have met......

ummmm, thanks for accepting friend request on FB. Friends b4, if you can remember my previous incarnation on AB?
Nailit, you mention on another thread that you did a Mindfulness course. Could I urge you to try to get into it - it was a lifesaver for our daughter (well, not quite literally...); she got a lot of comfort and help from it.

Please, please throw those tablets away.
Yes....I knew your name through email.

I do hope you can start to get a more positive outlook x
