Interesting news. It can't just be my boycotting this place that is causing this.

But just what has the "weaker pound" got to do with it ?

I suspect nothing...just the reputation it has gained I would suggest...

Lower profits can of course lead to fewer Jobs.

Our Lefties will be so proud when that happens.

//The slide in sterling means the firm has had to pay more for its imported goods, and its underlying pre-tax profit fell to £113.7m from £275.2m//
Many companies hedged against the pound falling when the brexit result came in. Sports Direct failed to do so.

Maybe the sports direct branch at Walmington on sea will have to close down ,then fewer jogges on the front to buy their trainers?
hence lower profits.
The weaker pound will affect the import prices but I would not expect by that much. My suspicion is that you are not the only one boycotting the store Mickey but they dont want to admit it.

Unfortunately as pointed out above it will be the workforce that bears the brunt of this so that is not so funny.
