No interest here whatsoever.
No, they haven't got a Diane Abbot.

I agree that a woman will be running France very soon ... Lol.

i am interested in so far as Le Pen is concerned, she is a feisty woman in a fairly male dominated political leadership.
How can you use 'interesting' and 'election' in the same breath ?
From what I have read this morning, last nights debate between Le Pen and Macron was a real humdinger ....if only I could speak French !

I'd say French elections are more interesting as a rule, yes. French politics is a lot more confrontational and political extremes come to the fore more. That partially explains why a party like the Front National have attracted so many supporters, and why a far left candidate can also do well, despite the more moderate left being very unpopular. Of course there are parliamentary elections to come next month, so once the presidential election is over it does not mean things will settle down quickly. Neither of the candidates belongs to a mainstream party and will have to build a consensus with the Assemblee, although Macron has the distinct advantage that other parties have said they will work with him.
It WILL be Macron without a shadow of a doubt. I just hope he has a really big majority and people turn out to vote, which is by no means assured.
what with MAABOF, Jezza, the Green woman and that Limp dum bloke, you're having a turkish!
"It WILL be Macron without a shadow of a doubt. " - well I agree, probably! but I also agreed when many said Hilary would win hands down in the US. Don't count your chickens ich!
