Galloway is on planet Galloway. A complete irrelevance to anything sensible. I hope Mr McGuinness's death will spur the politicians on to agreement in the current difficult circumstances. In the end he was a major figure in the peace process and his death is a sad event. He proved that people can change for the better.

was on the cards...Gorgeous George should really marry Nicola ! lol
Good.

I hope it was nothing painless.

Obviously there's no such thing as heaven and hell, but if there was a hell, this piece of detritus would be beyond the ninth circle.

He has gone to his grave with his hands dripping with the blood of innocent men, women and children.

As for NI's future, it will carry on as is.

Deskdiary McGuiness was a changed man.
There will lots of comments like DD on here today. But without Mcguiness's change of heart, we wouldn't have the NI Agreement. And would be a continuing tragedy for everybody.
and also on

https://www.rte.ie/news/2017/0321/861287-martin-mcguinness-death/

to give a different perspective

The McConville family are giving ideas on what it was like to have your mother abducted by unmasked men. Her body wasnt found for 25 y - erm the people involved forgot where they had buried her.
The family appeared on television ( without food ) and were immediately taken into care as a result where ..... the boy was abused. The evil that men do really does live after them

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Jean_McConville

all the old freedom fighters figure - Dolouris Price was one of the abductors ....
// Deskdiary McGuiness was a changed man.//

but resurrection wasnt one of the changes

and quite honestly armed struggles have moved onto political engagement - without Martin McGuiness - so the path to peace may well have been taken without him.
[ or with him dead - revolution has a way of eating its children ]

PP I am well aware of the case, but things have move on Northern Ireland was stuck in the past. Now because of MMcG and the Good RP there is a chance that NI can get past their bloody history. Its a lovely place to live, but idiots like Galloway want to change it forever.
.// When will you ever learn? How long after the British were thrown out of Kenya, Cyprus, Israel, Malaysia, even the US, did you stop seeing their freedom-fighters as terrorists? //

freedom fighters as peculators and exploiters of those they 'liberated'

Kenyatta has further been criticised for encouraging the culture of wealth accumulation by public officials using the power and influence of their offices, thereby entrenching corruption in Kenya[wiki]

didnt they dance in the streets when he died ?
or was that Kenneth Kaunda another liberator and freedom fighter - or both ?
//According to George Galloway everyone in NI wants a united Ireland! What planet is he on! //

in a way he's right - NI voted overwhelmingly to stay in the EU, and a way of achieving that would be to cede themselves to the republic.
He isn't right factually: most people don't want a united Ireland. Why was someone asking Mr Galloway anyway? He has no business with the country.
Lets stop talking about that idiot Galloway. The news of Mcguiness's death is the topic of conversation.
Galloway mourns McGuiness - official

I notice that McG's last political act was one of destruction
- bringing down the NI govt.

some things dont change

PP that's because Arlene refuses to see that she and her political party have caused NI to be sunk under a huge amount of debt thanks to the heating of the chicken sheds!
That's nonsense Peter.
While it's true that Mr McGuinbeds's resignation caused the downfall of the executive it was obvious that he could no longer carry on due to ill health. Quite apart from the scandal of which Ms Foster was at the centre. The NI institutions are precious but they should not be an excuse for politicians failing to take responsibility for things that happened under their watch.
