But unacceptable to lie.
LoL.
The woman was exposed as a fantasist and a liar.

I'm not sure it's actually possible to be Transracial.
I have a mate who could rightly be described as transracial. He is white brought up by a black family (6 black brothers I black sister)
I have never heard any of them use the term though.

/// The woman was exposed as a fantasist and a liar. ///

And couldn't a Transgender person also be exposed as a fantasist and a liar, or would it be un-PC to say so?

well, if gender today is nothing to do with x or y chromosomes or biology but everything to do with self-identifying, why not the same biology or observational criteria ignoring, when it comes to race. if she says she's black, then she's black, right? and anyone who says otherwise is just too stupid to see, right?
What?!?

This woman deliberately promoted herself as being a black woman and chronicled the struggles and difficulties she had experienced throughout her life and the prejudice she had encountered.

Not the same thing at all.
I fail to see the connection with transgender at all. This is more akin to someone lying they had cancer for the purpose of attracting attention and raising funds. She was just a fraud and con-woman.
Mind you she doesn't look very black to me.

Your analogy regarding the deadly disease cancer is not only insensitive, but also non valid.

Have you read her story?

Perhaps she thought (and also proved it) that she had more opportunities in life by choosing to be black rather than white and
is there anything wrong in that, except the system of course?
You're being too deep for me to add anymore to this thread AOG.

I knew using cancer would excite some but go play with it.
She appropriated the life-stories of black women and used them for her own self-promotion.
She had faced neither the hurdles nor any 'benefits' of being a black woman. She took it upon herself to become the acceptable face of the NAACP when the position could have been taken by someone more experienced in the daily struggles experienced by black and biracial people in the USA.
Oh Prudie, some might say that you have a wicked sense of tumour.
I'm going to go back to the OP.

''Today It Is Quite Acceptable To Be Transgender''

Yep

''But Totally Unacceptable To Be Transracial, If This White Woman's Story Is Anything To Go By''

This womans story isn't anything to go by. So transracial is totally acceptable ... how could it be anything other than acceptable?
AOG

You posit:

Today it is quite acceptable to be transgender

In a recent poll by Sky News, 48% of respondants said that they 'have no moral objection with [people] changing gender'. But it's a stretch to say that it is now 'acceptable'. There is still a long way to go until we are at a stage where transgender people are as accepted as (say) gay people or those in mixed race marriages (to this day, people raise objections when seeing mixed race couples on tv adverts).

Transracial is a term and state of being that is almost unheard of. It cannot yet be acceptable, because it's too new for people to get their head around.
'almost unheard of' but every bit as valid as claiming that the narwhal's the offspring of a unicorn and a seal.
It just takes time and gullibility for such stuff to become mainstream.
I think we need to identify exactly what 'Transracial' actually means.

I was using this . .. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transracial

//Transracial adoption, placing a child of one racial or ethnic group with adoptive parents of another racial or ethnic group//

Being white to white parents and telling the world you are black is just being bonkers imo.
It's not the sex, race, culture, religion one happens to be born with or into that should define ones unique individuality but rather what one does with ones life in spite of the situation one is born with or into for which we should all be granted the recognition we ourselves have earned and deserve.
As far as I can see, this daft woman is not black, not even a little bit.

As others have said, she is a complete fantasist.
