This is a particular piece of work may have 'buried' her alive in the cess pit under the garage.

The rope is the only answer for such evil scum as far as I am concerned.

Life imprisonment AOG, and lets hope he gets it.
Whatever the law decrees is appropriate.
mikey - Far be it from me to stereotype AOG's usual line of OP's - but this was posted by YMB!
My abject apology to AOG !
Life imprisonment. I don't want the state making killers out of good men and women.
Life in prison

I'd be happy with Life Mickey, but even if he gets life it wont really mean it.

This is a particularly heinous crime and I really dont see how he could ever be 'cured' and I feel there should be some real justice for this poor woman (and others like her).

The problem often is the Judge not the law.
Life in prison......to mean life in prison, too.

I'm happy to do it HC provided due course in the Courts was done if you are worried about someone being forced to do it.
YMB...we don't know what tariff the sentence will have attached to it, when he s sentenced ....lets hope its a very long one.
I'm unsure punishment is a relevant factor. Sounds like he needs a permanent padded cell to me.
To kill in cold blood is heinous.

Take it you dont like anyone in the forces then given the definition of killing in cold blood is to kill without passion?
I think the old Saddam shuffle is appropriate in this case
Soldiers killing in war is totally different.
Yes he should face the full force of the law, the hanging debate is long gone.

But as a sideline look at the happy photo of them both together and the lovely expensive house they lived in, one has got to ask why?

He and his sons could have lived a happy and comfortable life, together with the lovely Helen Bailey.
Poor, poor lady what a way to die. Hangings too good for him ! What I'd like to happen to him isn't printable.
As this was a premeditated and planned murder, I would think that life imprisonment would be the minimum sentence.

It's the premeditation that swings it for me.

I thought the same thing. I assumed that he may have had another relationship on the go, but I would have expected this to be revealed during the trial.
Life in prison, no chance of any parole either, so he can think about what he did.
Why do you say 'buried her alive' when it says in the bullet points that he smothered her?

I hope he never sees the outside world.
