/// The defendants, aged between 22 and 45, all arrived in Austria between May and December 2015 via the Balkan route.
At the time of the attack, five of them had cemented their right to stay, the applications of the other four were still pending. ///

I wonder if found guilty, will they all still be able to stay?

Remember this is Austria and not the UK.

//Her attackers conversed only in Arabic//

Making the effort to fit in then.

Of course they will be allowed to stay, Obergruppenführer Merkel will see to that and of course is backed up by the ECHR to whom Austria must also pay homage to.
When are the Governments, & courts of different Countries letting these people in, going to wake up, on what's going on, and its only going to get worse?

If somebody predicted 20 years ago this could happen, and what's happening in the UK, they would probably be locked away.
Hopefully not.

The difficulty arises because, in admitting people with genuine needs who deserve help, countries lay themselves open to the abuses of criminals like this.

There is no simple solution as far as I am aware - it is not to simply shut borders wholesale to an entire faith structure, as President Trump seems to believe.
Trump has got it right.

If President Trump believes that banning an entire faith structure will end terrorism in his country, then I beg to take the opposing view.
No probs. When all Europe is controlled by sharia law , there will be lots of " I told you so" It will happen at some point in the future, it is inevitable.
And still the record plays, Muslims taking over the world, Sharia Law.

That is what is inevitable
It is their mission AG. Four wives, 28 kids, they will outbreed non muslims. Head in the sand will not stop the inevitable.

Personally, I am not minded to believe the media-constructed notion that Islam wishes to take over the world.

Although they make a huge noise with the evil actions, The Taliban and Isis are tiny organisations with very little power or influence.

the Taliban was founded in 1994 and Isis in 1999, that's 23 and 18 years ago respectively. If they were really able to take over the world, as they claim, and people fear, what have they been doing from them to now?

If five per cent of the world's Muslim population followed their edicts, you would have seen a seismic shift in the influence of Islam in the world.

The truth is, the vast majority of Muslims don't want to take over anywhere, they simply want to live peacefully.

Bad actions make news - but you can't link incidents like this to a 'Muslim takeover' that is clearly not happening, and not likely to happen any time soon.
If found guilty then, regardless which country they are in, such an act should negate any argument/agreement to stay. A return from whence they came would be the only reasonable course of action. Either after they finished their sentence, or if an agreement with the country of origin can be made, they could serve their sentence there.
andy-hughes, //Personally, I am not minded to believe the media-constructed notion that Islam wishes to take over the world. //

For the umpteenth time, that is not a media-construct.
Naomi - Repeating something does not make it a fact.

There is no evidence of a 'takeover' - you know that as well as I.
andy-hughes, I hate to mention it but quite recently on another thread you claimed that you don’t discuss that of which you are ignorant. Study Islam, and then come back and tell me what the intention is.
If found guilty I hope they get a stiff sentence followed by deportation.

If you claim asylum the one thing you do not do, is bite the hand that feeds you.

But we should be wary of pre-convicting them. Right now, this is conjecture.

What studies have you conducted?

I'm not questioning your understanding of Islam - I'm just curious as to whether you know any more than the rest of us.

My question is based on something I read in a previous post of yours where you denied that you were an expert.
You do not have to be an expert to see what the muslim invasion of Europe is the greatest disaster the world ( civilised) has ever seen
sp1814 - //My question is based on something I read in a previous post of yours where you denied that you were an expert. //

Naomi likes to deny that she is an expert, and then proceed to denigrate the views of others, on the basis that she knows more than they do.

I freely admit to being no student of Islam, but had this much vaunted 'take-over' even commenced, I think we would be somewhat more aware of it than we are now.

If a suicide bomber kills one or more people, it is national headlines in minutes - is it not likely that the unstoppable mass of murderous Islamists sweeping across the world like a hoard of locusts may just have been noticed by someone somewhere.

The reason for the absence of talk about a 'takeover' apart from dark mutterings by 'those who know' is that it is a media construct, with no meaningful evidence to back it up.
Stick to music AH,lol.

Just one example, there are thousands.
