Will she be sacked
Would you support the sacking or back her up?

who employs her?
It's not big and it's not clever. She may live to regret her dinner table chatter being transferred to the loonysphere.
Question Author
She may be freelance (not sure) but her columns appear in the Sunday Times.
It was not a Sunday Times column she wrote that, it was a Tweet. It had nothing to do with her job, it was not done during her employment.

While not a nice sentiment, it has nothing to do with her work and is not a reason for dismissal.
I think the publishers of her books may have a different view.
I think if I employed somebody who expressed such a sentiment, wherever and whenever it was uttered, I'd seriously consider her position.

Why on earth do you keep telling me stuff I already know? Bizarre!

The clue that it was a tweet btw is in the title.
I can't get anything to appear, what all did she say?
It's a pretty dumb thing to put out there.
Far too impatient ...
Question Author
That post says rather a lot about you Ichkeria
Seen it now..odd thing to say
Why put such a sentiment on a public forum? It shows a surprising lack of nous. Surely she is aware of others who have been pilloried for such tweets.
Talbot, if you already know this stuff why do you posts seem to be blissfully ignorant? Anyone who writes for a national newspaper is a public figure. Their tweets are therefore inextricably linked to their employment, especially where that employment is writing a column.
It doesn't say who she's on about: presumably Donald Trump.
Question Author
Zacs .... eh?
'Why on earth do you keep telling me stuff I already know? Bizarre!'

You seem incapable of making the link between her being in the pubic eye and making such inflammatory tweets.
Let's face it who hasn't thought that Trump might get bumped off.
It's easy to forget he's only been in post a week. Feels like a lifetime already. But it's certainly gingered up the old AnswerBank
