/// More than 800 women living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, are also planning to protest in solidarity with American women, against Donald Trump’s election as president. ///

Perhaps they would be better employed protesting for women's rights in their own country?

And why aren't our own women, protesting against other more dangerous world leaders, than Donald Trump could ever be?

AOG,we don't yet know how dangerous DT can be.Mind you on known form,he says things and doesn't carry it through so maybe you're right.

Depends on the issue though, because non-action can just be as dangerous as action.
Do they know that Donald Trump employed a woman as his campaign manager and also a woman as an architect for Tump tower?
AOG - //Perhaps they would be better employed protesting for women's rights in their own country? //

Perhaps so - maybe they do that as well?

// And why aren't our own women, protesting against other more dangerous world leaders, than Donald Trump could ever be? //

I don't know, you'd have to ask them that question.
I hope they aren't driving themselves to the meeting point.
Andy Hughes, many do,including this brave lady:-

More on Manal al-Sharif

/// In 2009, Ms Sharif's employer sent her temporarily to its US office, in Boston. "I remember just thinking it was so incredibly normal," she says. "There were no complications. I could just live a normal life. I could go and look at apartments and sign a contract myself. I went to the bank, and opened an account." ///

/// Most importantly, she drove a car. "I thought, 'This is how life should be'." ///

Then why do these Saudi Arabian women need to protest against Trump, is he planning to introduce discrimination laws against women?

Here is a list of the worst places in the world for women.

Yemen
Chad
Pakistan
Mali

What laws are they breaking
How does it affect you what they are protesting about.
You do not know if they are protesting about other things on other days.
Why does this bother you so much?
andy-hughes, //Perhaps so - maybe they do that [protesting for women's rights in their own country] as well? //

In Saudi Arabia? I'd say not.

If it happened to be a far-right group protesting against something that actually effects British people, you would soon be on your soap box demanding that the march be banned.
AOG,it is not a specific anti-Trump demo.From your link:

The organisers of the London march, by contrast, say their march is not specifically anti-Trump, although in a statement on their website the American election is cited as “a catalyst for a grassroots movement of women to assert the positive values that the politics of fear denies”.
You still have not explained what your objection is?
vortex, thank you. Interesting, but I wonder just how accurate that report is? ‘Gathered’ perhaps - well at least those who are allowed to leave home unaccompanied by a man - but ‘Stormed’ and ‘Bombarded’? I have my doubts– and then their petition was ignored which comes as no surprise at all.
From heading:

And why aren't our own women, protesting against other more dangerous world leaders.

The UK is much more aligned to the US than say N.Korea or Zimbabwe...

Or did you have anyone specific in mind AOG?
Naomi24,I share the same view regarding the adjectives used though it does serve to demonstrate that there are plenty of women in the kingdom who have the courage to act.

/// The UK is much more aligned to the US than say N.Korea or Zimbabwe... ///

And which country shows the most threat to not only women but to all mankind?

Why mention Zimbabwe?
AOG,why not mention Mugabe? Not exactly a nice guy is he despite his age?

As for the threat posed by N.Korea, well,in reality,I still worry more about DT.He is just as unpredictable...
vortex, from a female population of approximately 16 million, I wouldn’t describe the given figure of 2500 (if that is to be believed) as ’plenty’. That said, however many there are I hope their numbers increase.

/// AOG,why not mention Mugabe? Not exactly a nice guy is he despite his age? ///

Because I don't know of Mugabe or his countries attitude towards women, and this is what this thread is partially about.

/// As for the threat posed by N.Korea, well,in reality,I still worry more about DT.He is just as unpredictable... ///

Trump for all his faults is not a sadistic madman Dictator.

Trump is the President of a democratically run country and not it's Dictator.
Naomi24,yes,mighty oaks from acorns hopefully.
