Do they have enough donations to pay?
Are these the people who claim the moral high ground TTT?

//The Lib Dems said "human error and failures of process" were to blame. //

Lessons will be learned, due process...., compliance procedure....Blah blah blah.
Perhaps Nick Clegg will stump up from his own pocket, then again perhaps not.
Just a reminder...

Conservative spending at the election remains under intense scrutiny... About nine police forces have been investigating the accusations of higher-than-permitted spending in a number of marginal seats, which could have helped the Tories gain a majority at the election.
So there you have it. The Limpdidums over spend and get nothing at all for their money. Whilst the clever Conservatives get value for money with a nice big juicy win.
Oh dear Togo, you really do approach politics in the same spirit as a playground squabble, don't you?
Haha. .
Yes, the fine should be increased, and there is no excuse for wrongly declaring costs.

But before the gloating gets out of hand, there is an investigation into the Tory battle bus and helpers hotel expenses that have not been declared any where. A fine for the Conservatives is also inevitable
I'm sure the Tories won't be fined much more than the cost of May's leather trousers.
Scoff all you like, as usual.

The point here is that the LibDems come over all holier than thou, and yet here we see they are not.
and the Tories don't? lol
No, I dont believe either the Tories or Labour have adopted that stance. Do you have evidence to the contrary?
I am always fascinated by the idea that one can see one's opponents as "Holier than Thou"
There's an element of "knowing naughty schoolboy" about it :-)

Surely, in the crusade to eliminate any form of liberal thought, O'Brien, there
can be no room for such doubts.
Room 101 for you.
Broad perceptions of the Parties are usually very inaccurate.
The Tories are all wealthy toffs.
Labour are the unions' poodle.
LibDems are nice and ethical.

All nonsense.

The Tories used to portray themselves as the party of law and order, so the inevitable election expenses fine will be embarrassing on that level.

Labour have already been fined for undeclared election expenses, including Miliband's headstone.
the Tories did have a subsection called The Good Right, which sounds pretty holy. I don't know if this oxymoron survived
